Betisenian housing project was first conceptualized to provide shelter for the indigent families in Betis, however through series of meetings held by church leaders and various sectors in Betis, livelihood and formation programs were included.To sustain these programs, an organization was formed and to be known as St. James the Apostle Betis, Foundation, Inc. while the housing project will be called Villa Santiago, both named after the patron saint of Betis. The Organization, St. James the Apostle Betis Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit and non-stock corporation whose main purpose is to provide better opportunities to the indigent families in Betis. Its incorporators is headed by Archbishop Paciano Aniceto, Msgr. Norberto Coronel, Rev. Fr. Francis Dizon, Rev. Fr. Emiliano Dizon and Benjamin Vergara. While the initial board of trustees are represented by church leaders, businessmen, club organization, employees and retirees. The Project is composed of three (3) parts namely, The housing program is known as Villa Santiago. It will have a 72 units, a multi purpose hall and concrete road. The livelihood program will serve as continuity on economic development of selected indigent families. The formation program will focus on values and social upliftment of these families.
